Fellow is set to release its Stagg EKG and EKG+ electric pour-over kettles in late 2017 after its Kickstarter launch surpassed an original $100,000 goal in under twenty-four hours.

The EKG features an LCD screen and variable temperature control; with the turn of a knob, users can select their desired water temperature. A nifty hold switch offers temperature maintenance for up to thirty minutes. A precision-pour spout and counterbalanced handle allow for a comfortable, precise pour every time.

Want more from your pour-over kettle? How about remote temperature control and brew profiles you can chart and save?

The EKG+ model, powered by Acaia, utilizes bluetooth technology for full control via its Brewbar app. Users can wirelessly turn their EKG+ off and on, set goal temperatures, check current temperatures, and keep track of recipes. Smart scales and grinders from Acaia and Baratza can also connect.

Stagg’s Kickstarter campaign continues until February 12, but those interested in contributing should hurry—they’ve already sold out of base model individual units. Pre-orders for EKG+ units and bundle packages are still available, starting at $149.

Stagg EKG product features:
  • Variable Temperature Control: By turning the intuitive twist dial, you select your desired temperature ranging from 135°F to 212°F.

  • HOLD Option : When the toggle on the back is switched to HOLD mode, Stagg EKG will maintain your desired temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius for thirty minutes.

  • Precision Pour Spout: Stagg EKG’s spout is designed for the optimal pour-over flow rate with to-the-drop precision.

  • Counterbalanced Handle: A weighted handle shifts the center of the mass closer to your hand for an easier pour.

Stagg EKG+ bonus features:
  • Turn Stagg EKG+ on/off and set goal temperature from Brewbar tablet app.

  • Brewbar tablet app tells current temperature of Stagg EKG+ when the kettle is connected to the base.

  • Talks to the Acaia scale and the Baratza grinder. Stagg EKG+, Acaia scales, and the Baratza Sette 270W will be able to work in tandem to produce a café’s recipes with ease and precision at a touch of a button.
